Join us on Monday, May 3 and Tuesday, May 4 at the DoubleTree in Manchester, NH for the seventh biannual convening of a conference focused on promoting a rural Northeast region that is climate resilient, equitable, economically revitalized, and decarbonized!
Local leaders are navigating increasingly interconnected challenges, from housing affordability to extreme weather, energy security, infrastructure, workforce shortages, and economic uncertainty. These challenges cannot be addressed one at a time, or by communities working alone. The 2027 Local Solutions Conference will bring together approximately 300 municipal decision-makers, community leaders, planners, practitioners, businesses, nonprofits, researchers, and state, federal, and Tribal representatives to share practical solutions and strengthen the relationships communities need to move forward.

Design projects that address housing, health, energy, flooding, affordability, and economic vitality at the same time.
How do we act when the rules and resources keep changing?
Build flexible strategies, strengthen public trust, and know when to act, adapt, or change course.
Who will do the work?
Strengthen municipal and community capacity through partnerships, shared staffing, workforce development, regional collaboration, and emerging tools.
How do we pay for what communities actually need?
Develop realistic, diversified, and locally appropriate pathways for funding and financing community priorities.
