Community Partnerships

Working together to build resilient and thriving communities

Communities are responding to interconnected challenges, from extreme weather, energy affordability, and housing pressures, to public health, infrastructure needs, and economic uncertainty. Addressing these challenges requires trusted relationships, local knowledge, shared learning, and sustained collaboration.

The Dartmouth Climate Collaborative works with municipalities, community organizations, Tribal partners, businesses, practitioners, and regional networks to translate knowledge into action and build capacity for climate resilience.

Through community-engaged projects, applied research, workshops, training, and collaborative planning, we connect Dartmouth’s people and resources with the experience, priorities, and assets of communities. Our work supports locally relevant solutions that can address multiple community goals at the same time, helping communities become more equitable, resilient, and thriving.

Community Partnerships

How We Work

The Climate Collaborative builds relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and shared purpose, bringing together community knowledge, practitioner experience, and Dartmouth scholarship to address real-world challenges. Through applied research, training, tools, and convening, the Collaborative helps communities move from ideas to implementation while creating opportunities for residents and partners to shape priorities, develop strategies, and participate in decision-making. This work supports locally driven solutions that strengthen climate resilience, affordability, public health, equity, economic vitality, and community well-being.
